Dr. D.H. Truban

David Truban is pictured here with his papillon “Sir Tater Tot”. Born and raised in Woodstock, Virginia, he loved and learned about veterinary medicine at an early age from his father, Dr. Bill Truban, who was the county veterinarian. “In those days, the county vet took care of all living things, except humans of course. My parents instilled in all my brothers and sister the love and concern for pets, farm animals, and their owners. I plan to carry that tradition on in our family practice.”
Graduating from Virginia Tech in 1977 with a B.S. in animal science and from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM in 1984 Dr. Truban worked at a mixed animal practice in Pennsylvania for a year before coming to Mount Airy Veterinary Hospital in 1985. With the commitment to improve quality care for all pets, his wife, Judi and their 6 children have all been integral part of the practice in some form or fashion over the years. Dr. Truban and Judi are proud and very grateful to be able to serve the residents of Mt. Airy with all their pets needs.
